Solar System Christmas Advent Calendar 2011

Count down the days to Christmas with this Solar System advent calendar. Every day in December, open a window to a spectacular space image. All the images are from NASA and depict the planets, asteroids and comets that make up the solar system.


This app has a window for each day in December, and on the day you can open and view the picture behind the window.

There are 24 different photographs, each featuring an informative caption including:

* Images of the Sun, asteroids, moons and planets
* The terrestrial inner planets - Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars
* The gas giants - Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune
* The dwarf planets - Pluto, Ceres, Makemake and Eris
* Surface images of planets we have surveyed or photographed
